
Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant ( SEN / SEMH )

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children and young people with additional needs?
We’re working with specialist SEN and SEMH schools across East Kent who are seeking Psychology graduates to support pupils with autism, emotional and mental health needs, and behavioural challenges. This role is ideal if you’re considering a future in clinical psychology, educational psychology, therapy, counselling or mental health services.
The Role:

Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis

Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour support and engagement

Apply psychological principles in a real-world setting

Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists and pastoral teams

Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils who benefit from structure and trust
What we’re looking for:

A genuine interest in child psychology, behaviour or mental health

Strong communication and emotional intelligence

Patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure

A proactive, positive attitude
Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
£90 – £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
